SIMPLE Prenuptial Agreement
A prenuptial agreement is a document that is signed prior to marrying and identifies certain rights of the parties in the case of a divorce. This is a SIMPLE version of our custom prenuptial agreement which provides for no alimony, and that each party retains the debt and assets with which they entered the marriage. It also allows for the mutual creation of marital assets. It is limited but is also our most popular version of the prenuptial agreement. The SIMPLE Prenuptial Agreement includes:
- SIMPLE Prenuptial Agreement
- Complete instructions
- No Alimony
- Each party keeps their own premarital property and debt if they divorce
- Allows for creating property together once you’re married
Marriage Settlement Agreement (property settlement contract)
The Marriage Settlement Agreement is the property settlement contract that settles the issues (such as division of property, custody, debt, alimony, etc.) that arise with a divorce. In any divorce where there are issues (such as division of property, custody, debt, alimony, etc.), the issues need to be SETTLED or LITIGATED prior to finishing the divorce. Our Marriage Settlement Agreement works for this purpose, and can be used together with an uncontested divorce to achieve this. We’ve worked tirelessly on our form to make it as complete and accurate for most situations. Our Marriage Settlement Agreement includes the following:
- Complete Instructions
- Property and debt division
- Child support
- Completely customizable- only use the sections you need
Inventory and Appraisement
An inventory and appraisement is a listing of all of the marital and non-marital assets and their values. This document is usually required to be filed preceding advanced litigation on a divorce matter involving equitable distribution.
Addendum to an Agreement (Marriage Settlement Agreement, Custody, or other)
An Addendum is a document which changes an agreement. The Addendum is not meant to change the entire agreement, it will change only the parts that you specifically want to change. It is useful in many instances, such as changing the alimony or support portions of a Marriage Settlement Agreement, or perhaps the days in a custody schedule. It operates to change only a portion of an agreement without changing the whole thing.
Praecipe to Discontinue Complaint for Divorce
This is the document that is filed to terminate a Divorce action where both parties agree.
Praecipe to Reinstate Complaint for Divorce
This is the document that reinstates a Divorce action that has been halted.
